Moraira used to be a small fishing village but has grown into a pleasant seaside resort with stores, restaurants and terraces galore. Several beaches, crystal clear waters, the beautiful bay of El Portet and a large marina make Moraira the pearl of the Costa Blanca. Because Moraira has no high-rise buildings, the village center still has an authentic feel. On Friday mornings, a visit to the large weekly market is well worthwhile.
